Exclusive Perfumery
Lugano

Scope: Commercial space renovation, Lugano
Intervention: Interior design, supply and installation for a high-end perfumery

Debass was engaged to develop a material concept capable of balancing the existing architectural heritage with a new commercial identity. Large-format porcelain stoneware flooring, reeded wood furniture and a lighting design study conceived to enhance both the products and the architecture. The restoration of the frescoes completes an intervention that unites the memory of the place with contemporary precision.

Historic and Contemporary

The frescoed ceiling and original decorative features were restored and reintegrated into the new atmosphere of the shop. The pared-back fit-out establishes a balance between historic elements and contemporary insertions, without the two languages contradicting one another.

Materials and Light

The large-format stoneware provides visual continuity and material neutrality throughout the space. The reeded wood furniture introduces warmth and tactility, organising the display area without weighing it down. The lighting design follows the circulation routes, softens the volumes and draws attention to the decorated ceiling.

Debass's Role

Development of the material concept and coordination between interior design, supply and installation, in collaboration with construction partner Ediligo. The objective: to build a new commercial identity in dialogue with the original character of the space.
